The she-gryphon lighted upon a twisting branch of the great tree. She flexed her wings, stretching and sunning herself in the morning rays. Lesser birds sang and chirped in the tree as well, their song no where near as sweet and lilting as her own. Her pools skimmed over the land trying to see as far as she could in each direction.
